Background

Sandy is Director of Operations and Planning for the Balsillie School of International Affairs. She is actively involved in the development of the lands adjacent to CIGI which will be home to the Balsillie Centre of Excellence and other academic buildings.

Previously, Sandy served as CIGI's Director of Human Resources, after being promoted from Manager of Human Resources. When she joined CIGI in September 2004, she was executive assistant to Distinguished Fellow Paul Heinbecker.

Before she joined CIGI, Sandy was an independent consultant developing ecommerce websites. She had an extended career at Wilfrid Laurier University: she was Laurier's first Ombudsperson, managed the Laurier Stock Market competitions and also served as Manager of IT Coordination.
